Is there anyway I can use EZDrummer with Ardour on Mac OS X 10.6. I realize I can use AU plugins (currently I would have to redownload the program and donate money, which I'm okay with). But, what I would really like to do is be able to hook up my USB drum kit and have it register in EZDrummer while recording directly in Ardour.

I've read a little bit about the midi support (or lack there of) in Ardour 2. So I'm thinking this might not actually be possible.

I think the way to use EZDrummer on Ardour is to load EZDrummer on a standalone AU host (a quick google reveals "AU Lab") and add the JACK AU plugin after EZDrummer, which you can then connect to Ardour's audio inputs through JACK.

This would limit you to recording live performances unless you find an AU host with sequencing capabilities.

You should be able to connect directly via JACK without the JACK AU plugin.
