Running Ardour

thats what happens when i have osx installed and am running jack but ardour wont launch.

im on a 1.5GHz PowerPC G4

did you download the 10.3 specific DMG? the universal runs only on 10.4 and later, because it uses some DSP processing code not present in OS X 10.3 (which is what your error message is all about). the download page (http://ardour.org/download) says:

  • Download Ardour-0.99.3-universal.dmg for PowerPC or Intel systems running Tiger (OS X 10.4) and later.
  • Download Ardour-0.99.3-panther.dmg for all PowerPC-based systems with OS X 10.3.9 and later. People with G3 Macintoshes should use this release too.
