I’m running Ardour 3.5.357 on Ubuntu Studio 14.04. A couple of days ago I tried to re-open a project and I got the following error message on the Log:
[ERROR]: unable to create port: failed constructor.
Now it’s happening also with other new projects. Not sure what’s happening, but probably it has something to do with the metronome (I’ve used it as an insert).
When I run Ardour from the terminal I get this message:
(ardour-3.5.357:2649): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: Attempt to add property gtkmm__CustomObject_N9Gtkmm2ext23CellRendererPixbufMultiE::active after class was initialised

@febros: you may be running out of JACK ports. But error messages should show that better. Come find us on IRC, where we can diagnose this in realtime rather than futzing about on silly web forums.
