Navigate through multi song arrangement

Hello,

I am wondering if it is possible to use ardour as an audio sequencer for live performances in this way:

    Have multiple songs in one project file, ordered by instruments
    Have markers and or a playlist to select a song by midi

There are windows apps that allow to have eiter an arrangement track (Cubase) or multiple scenes (Ableton Live).

Maybe someone can give me a hint how to realize this in ardour (if possible)?

The recently added scene support (actually, program/bank change MIDI messages linked to markers) will let you navigate via MIDI. See my comments on this in the “Scene Out…” thread two items below yours in the “New forum topics” box.
