Why are you installing Ardour 0.99.3 ? 2.0.2 is the current release. From the trace above, its apparent that you do not have Apple’s X11 installed, as detailed in the OS X requirements page (http://ardour.org/requirements_osx). If you install 2.0.2 and try to start it, it will post a dialog telling you this.
