I know ardour 4 is still basic, but functional for midi editing ,but I can’t figure how to split a note. The cut tools delete the remaining note so I can use them.
We don’t currently provide a way to do that. You can shorten (trim) notes, and split regions in the middle of notes, but there is no tool that will split a single note into two.
