error while importing MIDI file

Hi, I am running Ardour 4.7.0 and created an empty Ardour session from scratch. Am trying to import a MIDI file into this existing session, but while doing it, Ardour crashes with no error message.

  1. I found out that there are some MIDI intermediate files created in session_name/interchange/session_name/midifiles
  2. Are there any log files that I can check?
  3. Any other suggestion? Thanks in advance, Fatima.

Please try this with newer version of Ardour. You can get a free demo version of Ardour 5.5 from http://ardour.org/download which can be installed on any system in parallel with any existing version of Ardour. Version 4.7 at this point is considered “old”.
