Digging out the old MOTU 828...but with problems

Firstly, thanks for such an affordable great piece of kit!

Now to the problem. I wanted to try and utilise both my old MacBook Pro (2008, 10.9.5, 4gig RAM), my original FireWire MOTU 828 and my Roland VS2480 (to transfer old tracks from). Now, keeping in mind that I’m rusty at all this, all was going well, until I realised that in playback monitoring I’m only getting the righ channel. No idea why, as I can hear both before and during recording. I’m sure it’s something stupid on my part, but I’d appreciated any advice on the matter…from anyone who remembers the original MOTU 828 and the Roland. :wink: (All other sources, such as music from iTunes, play in both channels.)

Sorry, I’ve been away, and using Logic with my newer laptop. Yes, both channels play through the MOTU828. I’m not set up with the MOTU and the old laptop at the moment so can’t double check. Thanks.
