I am running Ardour 5.8 on a 64 bit machine with 16 gigs of ram and a quadcore 3.1 Ghz cpu on AV Linux. My Ardour keeps crashing. I am digitizing old interview tapes and when I check on the progress, I notice Ardour is not there anymore. Here is my pastebin output: https://pastebin.com/RdQWRd1R
What can I do?
Just an update. I spoke with the Ardour dev last night via IRC and there appears to be a bug related to the program drawing waveforms while recording. I hope this bug is resolved soon as it is quite useful to see waveforms while recording. Currently, what you do is go in preferences and into ‘appearance’ and then ‘editor’ and then uncheck the box that shows “show wavefoems while recording”.
