session crashing when doing snapshots

Hi there,

I have the weird situation that i have my session crashing when doing a snapshot or when importing audio.

I did a maybe stupid thing: I started working in Ardour5 and thought for having various mixbusses to export stems from i changed over to mixbus32c. It worked perfectlyfor one day of work and then started to crash. So i m not aware if the crashing comes from the transistion to Mixbus or would be ardour intrinsic…

the message i get while crashing is

whenever i try to make a snapshot it crashes with the info

(mixbus32c-4.1.716:11857): GLib-CRITICAL **: Source ID 185 was not
found
when attempting to remove it
Mixbus: Screen height is 2160; Font scale is 1.71273; User-scale is

1.4; Suggested scale: 1.5

(mixbus32c-4.1.716:11857): GLib-CRITICAL **:
g_ptr_array_remove_range:
assertion ‘index_ < rarray->len’ failed

(mixbus32c-4.1.716:11857): glibmm-ERROR **:
unhandled exception (type std::exception) in signal handler:
what: Unknown SMF error

Trace/breakpoint trap

It also became a big session with a lot of media and regions…
I m on linux (mint)

any thoughts?

I see this in Ardour when I open the session in Ardour5:

5.2.1 20150903)
ardour: [INFO]: Your system is configured to limit Ardour to only 65536 open files

well I hope I have less files;) but maybe there are other limits set? i.e. limits for regions?
