I come back to Ardour after some months. I select a couple of regions right click on it and choose “Read the region in loop”. It starts at the selected regions but do not loop !
I notice also that the loop button is greyed and inaccessible.
What did I miss ?
What version of ardour? What platform? What audio/MIDI backend? Did you disable seamless looping?
I can’t find “Read the region in loop” command anywhere in Ardou 5.11.4…

Also try different modes of Transport Looping (Go “Preferences>Transport>Looping>Play loop is a transport mode”):
re “I notice also that the loop button is greyed and inaccessible.” perhaps you’re using JACK transport or external timecode sync. In that case looping is not possible.
