My tracks won't play

Hello,

Opened ardour today to work on a song, only to find that it won’t play. The meters jump about as if it should play, but no sound. There is no sound even from the metronome.

I have opened up another song and it works fine.

I have imported some of the wav files into a new song and they work ok.

It’s almost as if there is a link that has broken between ardour and the wav files.

Any advice gratefully received.

Perhaps the master-bus’ output is not connected to the soundcard? Does the master meter move, too?

General rule to track this down: follow the signal path… check connections and meters along the way.
