Hi all. I’m planning to record a live gig with Ardour, a Linux laptop and a Phonic Helixboard 18FW mixer. The problem is that the only partition on the laptop with enough free space is FAT32. I remember that Ardour 0.99 had a lot of troubles saving sessions on FAT partitions.
I would like to know if those problems are solved in Ardour 2 - I know I could just try and see, but I will have to set up everything in a very short time.
Moreover, I would like to know if I have to install a particular jack flavor to get firewire support (= ffado driver) or I can use the jack version that comes with Ubuntu.
