Hi,

I`d like to split a stereo signal into 5 or more frequency ranges for multiband compression. I used to use jamin for mastering but I`m not satisfied with the limitation to 3 bands. Any idea?

By the way...ARDOUR RULES and thanx for your answers!!!

You could try Spiral Synth Modular: www.pawfal.org/Software/SSM/

you graphicaly connect different LADSPA plugins together to create some sort of "big machine".
What you could do is have five parametric EQs spliting you signal and send the five outputs to an SC1 (compressor) plugin. This could be machine time consuming... but it's a fun way of doing it :-)

Give us some feedback if you get it working. Spiral Synth modular is an interresting piece of software.

Careful, you can really over-do it.
