why not re-write ardour from slow c++ codebase to native d (digitalmars.com/d)?
the features of D offers more modern techniques aiding further development also.
the differences are minor so a re-write wouldn't be a to big of a task either.
why do you hate real programmers?
do you not understand anything about realtime programming?
do you have any idea what fraction of ardour's code is GUI related, and tied to a GUI toolkit written in C++?
Thank you for allowing me a real big laugh today! That was probably the funniest post in the last couple of weeks :D
How many lines of Ardour-code are there that would have to be rewritten?
"real" programmers have a J.O.B ...
b; http://www.gtk.org/language-bindings.html - it's called GtkD ...
either way, this is a suggestion section, and thus it is just a suggestion.
