Ardour 2.7.1 Crashes when opening sessions from 2.6

Hi there,

I’m trying to open several sessions I’m working on Ardour 2.6 at Mac OS X with the new versions (2.7 and now 2.7.1). When I open the session Ardour crashes at “Setting signal flow and plugins”.

Here is my system information:

Thanks

Hi,

I have no problem opening your 17.ardour file with 2.7.1 (linux). Of course Ardour tells me that the audio files are missing, but I can move on.

Maybe you could try the same - copy your 17.ardour file to another directory, so that Ardour won’t find other files. If it starts up, it might be something in the linked files, though this is not common. If it’ll not start up, it’s maybe the MAC version of somewhere in your system.

Better thing to do: join the ardour-oxs mailing list for fast help.

Hi Benjamin,

Thanks for your reply. I tried to copy the file to another location, but when I open it with Ardour 2.7.1 it crashes at the same point: “Setting signal flow and plugins”.

Rodrigo

Hi,

I bet it’s something in the Mac version. Try to join the irc channel #ardour-osx at irc.freenode.net (http://ardour.org/support for more explanation) and ask the wise people there  I can’t help you further, as I’m neither a developer nor a mac user.

Regards,
Benjamin
