Latency problem? Dropouts in WAV export

Hello all,

I recognize tiny dropouts in exported WAV files. They get more often with lower latency.

However - jack does not report xruns, I had no problems with recording and the export is a single stereo-track, no plugins, only one crossfade.

Is the problem known?

I am using a fresh installation of demudi 1.3.0-testing, ardour 0.99-2 and jackd 0.101.1 on a P4M-1300 and RME Multiface.

Thanks in advance for any hints,

Andreas

BTW: Ardour is GREAT work. Thanks to all supporters…

I always wondered if ardour needed a constant output rate to render a wave file. This way no xruns should be noticed on the output wave file. But I’m not sure if ladspa plugins would be adapted to this…

I was using xmms to play the exported file and did not realize that xmms needed much more CPU time playing a simple 16 bit WAV file then ardour mixing down on-the-fly.

Thanks for your reply,

Andreas
