Broadcast .wav file unrecognized data

Hi everyone,
I’m trying to import a Broadcast wave file with .wav extension.
In the Import window it doesn’t recognize the timecode stamped on the file.
The original timecode is 01:00:00:00 but is shown as 00:00:00:00.
Is supposed to be tag data on it but aren’t shown in the tag box as well.

Is there also a way in Ardour, once imported the file to see all the Broadcast data files and edit them?

Thanks in advance for the answers.

Same here. And it doesn’t work the other way round, either (exporting a Broadcast wav .wav file from Ardour to ProTools behaves the same, i.e. there doesn’t seem to be any timecode embedded.

Please make the original file available for inspection. Ardour uses libsndfile to read the BWF segment of the header and I believe that this is done correctly. Alternatively, what does sndfile-info (a command you probably have on your system) say about the file?

@Dom: what version of Ardour? What does sndfile-info say about the file?

Paul, it happens with every file, so you can check with every file on your hard disk.
