Has anyone experienced "kernel: invalid opcode: 0000 [1] SMP" after quiting Ardour2?

ps shows:
root 2550 2540 18 Jun18 pts/2 04:22:58 [ardour.bin]

I have to actually reboot in order to kill the damn thing... This happens every time I quit. (Of course the question is - "why would you quit?")

Luckily everything rocks until I decide to quit.

Any thoughts? I probably did something wrong with the compile.

I am having the same problem with Ardour1 on FC5 with 2.6.16-1.2133_FC5-i686 after installing VMWare.
I'm trying to find a way to get the two applications to co-exist, but not having luck. If I swap over to the ccrma kernel, the problem dissapears.
