Control Ardour with a dance pad?

I know Ardour can be controlled by WII. But there could be another tool to control (play, stop, record,…) Ardour with, a Dance Pad. I know you can control FreeWheeling with it (they use xml format). The advantage of a Dance Pad could be that you can control it with your feet, handy when you have two hands on your instrument, and it is cheap.

What do you think?

They say its possible with puredata, but I don’t have experience with it
