Yamaha is using it with there boards one which I am using the M7cl. Mabey this is a good question should this be a protocol for JACK or Ardour? Since Jack would handle the streaming and a library for linux would have to be written. What are all of your thoughts?
IMO that (the fact that it’s patented) makes it unlikely that there will ever be an open-source implementation. The web site seems a little vague about what their patents cover, but I strongly suspect that licensing would be required for any software.
To answer your question: Handling this protocol would be JACK’s job, not Ardour’s.
