New User Requesting Help

Hello,

I’m new to Ardour, and interested in comparing the Harrison MixBus to the sound of ProTools. I’m having trouble getting Ardour to launch. I read the new user page, and I believe I followed all the directions. Here is the crash log:

Any help would be appreciated. I’m running this on a Dual 2.3 GHz PowerPC G5.

Thanks!

@pz42: Ardour and Mixbus are not the same program, although they are closely related to each other. It appears that you are testing Ardour and not Mixbus, so you need to make it clear what you are really seeking to accomplish. If you want to test Mixbus you must use Mixbus. The "sound" of Mixbus is substantively different from the "sound" of Ardour.

Secondly, we do not like to debug problems with Ardour on these forums - it is slow and inefficient. You should file a bug report in our bug tracker or see the support page for information on the mailing lists and IRC as support options. In your particular case, we will need to see the contents of the file /Users/soundeluxhd/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/Ardour2.bin.crash.log
