please provide a simple to follow video re installation for new comers to ubuntu.
I am a Rank Beginner, i donated money got the source code and i have no idea what to do with it. the provided instruction is no help whatsoever because i have absolutely no experience compiling software in ubuntu or any other operating system.

you can simply install Ardour from the Ubuntu repository (software center or Synaptic packet Manager).
You could have a look here at how to build Ardour from source: http://ardour.org/building_ardour2 - But I wouldn’t recommend it for now if you haven’t compiled anything before, try the Ubuntu package first. If that doesn’t serve your needs it’s good to have the source code at hand, but first try the Ubuntu version.
