Amp modeling

Hello,
I am a new user of Ardour.
Does anyone know if there is an amp modeling software that can work in Ardour (OSX 10.4.11 ppc) for initial tracking of guitars and bass for scratch tracks?

Any AU plugin will work and the C* ladspa plugin suite has a few as well.
