ardour projet to cubase?

Hi all,

it is possible to export a ardour (avlinux) project to cubase?
We have record some songs with ardour. Now we want to make a mixdown and mastering in another studio. But they work with cubase.
Any ideas ?

thanks
chris

hallo,

have a look at the AATranslator:

www.aatranslator.com.au/

it does costs some money, but it is doing a good job.

cheers,

Hi,

normally it’s best to export each track so you can be import one file per track starting at 0:00:00 into Cubase. You would simply have 1 wav file per track to give to the Cubase people.

It depends a bit on the size of the project. If you have recorded dozens of tracks, it can get a bit tedious. There are some other ways like conversion programs (forgot the names) but if you haven’t mixed anyting yet, I’d go for the one file per track solution. If you have edited the regions in the tracks, you can create a range throughout the whole project, right click the range and perform “create range as new region pre-mixer” (of something alike, I have the German translation here). Then you can right click the new region and export it.

Best,
Benjamin
