Rhythm Ferret and removing regions I don't want

Hi,

I tried the Rhythm Ferret feature on a kick drum and it split it in several regions (I think it’s called). I wonder how I can remove those regions that “doesn’t” have the kick the fastest way. Do I have to do it manually or is there another way. I wanna get rid of the leckage between the kick hits so I don’t hear the other instruments and vocal. The same thing I wanna do with the snare.

If this can be done, can I then record those tracks into new ones in Ardour? Create a new track, armed it to record from track 1 into the new track so I have a new wave file with the edited kick? The same goes for the snare track.

Hi,

Ok, then I know.

Thanks for the quick reply

@tobbe: currently, RF does not function in that way at all. All it does it to identify the location of transients or note onsets and split. it is not “identifying” particular sounds or differentiating between regions.
