Any of you know if there is a way to know what plugins a given session uses?
The situation is the following. My machine died and I had to install all again. And was a pain try to remember the plugins installed. And opening the sessions with a fresh Ardour intallation, just give me a “A plug in #345 is not available”.

A good way is to open the session files with a text editor, since Ardour uses plain XML for the main session file and going through it should give you a clear idea of what you were using.
If you use the find text you can try with the word “insert”, that will help you filter it out better.

Maybe it helps by opening ardour on commandline? Maybe you see errors and names of the plugins you are missing when opening a project.
