To help out with single-handed drum takes I found http://wwwhome.cs.utwente.nl/~bosmaw/mobi which allows your Linux machine to look like a Bluetooth accessory (only for certain Sony Ericsson phones).

Using this you can send MMC messages (amidi can send MMC messages) to control transport and punch in/out.

I can’t see a way of integrating this with playlists though :frowning: Perhaps an OSC interface to Ardour is the answer?

Ardour 2.0 has an OSC interface for full transport control and a few other things. Its been tested trans-atlantic (Helsinki->Philadephia) and worked wonderfully. We haven’t documented the API yet. Maybe I’ll scribble down something tonight.
