The guys at Wave Ideas have open sourced the Rom for their amazingly powerful MIDI controller... The bitstream 3x.. (yes I have one)... The current version has aside from normal MIDI control stuff (including Mackie and Logic modes !!!!) LFO's and arpeggiators...

I would post links to the product and the github project but I'm not sure if that would get rejected as spam...

I'm hoping they may open source their configuration software as well... as the linux version is old and won't run on current OS versions (FC5) or support the latest ROM's....... selfishly I'm encouraging people to get involved.. (although it doesn't seem easy to get the hardware these days, which is a pity because this is the most solidly built controller I've seen)...

allank: you can include links but they won't be active - people will need to copy + paste to visit the link. It would be interest to take a look at. I can also edit your post to make the links active.

Don't forget midibox though ... http://www.ucapps.de/ and http://www.midibox.org

Midibox is a little different.. more DIY on the hardware... this is a factory made unit that has open sourced up the OS.. (more for coders rather than solderers :) )
