I Received A Letter

A tiny remix of the first line from an original song. Everything done in/with Ardour3. Not a lot special going on, just some fun with A3’s arranging capabilities.

USDA-certified organic. No additives, colors, dyes, or preservatives. Odorless and pet-friendly.

You are making me excited about using Ardour!

Sounds really nice :-).

By the way, listening to the file on soundcloud I noticed a slight dropout between 0:01 and 0:02 which sounds pretty much like an audio export problem with A3 that I described here: http://tracker.ardour.org/view.php?id=5880.
Is this dropout just an issue of the soundcloud file or can you find it already in Ardour’s export audio file…? (Just very curious because I have been struggling with the dropout problem for months.)

I’ll second (or third) the “nice”!

mk1967: I hear the dropout as well - in fact I think I there may be two in quick succession, and if I’m not mistaken they’re even visible in the waveform shown on SoundCloud. This is not to pick on DavePhillips at all - in fact it comes as something of a relief to find that I’m not the only one experiencing this. At various times I’ve searched for info about this, and one of the discussions I’d found was your earlier forum topic (https://community.ardour.org/node/6936). I think I’ll add on to that - although it’s over a year old now - and/or add on to your bug report.

Love this! Now I’m listening to your other work and I’m digging that as well, so now I’m following you on soundcloud.

Thanks for the comments, I haven’t checked in here for a while, sorry for the late response.

The dropout you hear is a mistake in the mix that I was just too lazy to repair. I am well-known as the world’s worst mix-master.

Btw, there’s a remix of the remix here:

I like it!
