So I’ll probably get my new computer tomorrow and install AVLinux onto it. My Interface - MAudio 2626 FireWire - I see is supported by the ffado project. The computer has no FW so I’d have to somehow connect via PCMCIA or USB - any recommendations? Are there devices known to NOT work with Linux? Anyone have experince with some of that? Any help appreciated

You can use a PCMCIA fireware card. Be sure to pick one with one of the recommended host controllers: see http://subversion.ffado.org/wiki/HostControllers
