MIDI CC problem

Im running debian etch of course, with ardour v 0.99.3. I am able to program controlers to control faders and all that good stuff. The problem occurs when you start programming more than one. After several ctrl-clicks and MIDI CC changes ardour will crash with a segmentation fault, no other error messages. It occured to me that this could be that i am useing the incorect endless data method for the midi ccs, is there a specific encoding format that ardour expects?

this is a problem that has been corrected in ardour2. the full release of 2.0 is scheduled within the next couple of weeks, there is no reason to not try it other than that far fewer linux distributions have pre-built packages of it.
