Saving Templates - Error

I am running Ardour 3-3.5.403 under Fedora 20 with the drumgizmo plugin and I am trying to save the template from a session I created. When it trys to save the template an error comes up indicating a file in the session plugin directory can not be copied to the template directory because it is a file. Sure enough the item in question is a directory and not a file. So I manually copied over the directory to the template directory. When I try to create a new session based on the template, ardour crashes with a segfault and no error messages or anything. Does anyone know how to:

  1. Save the template off successfully?
  2. Debug the current template? Are they any log files, etc that can be looked at?

This is typically caused by (a) problems with specific plugins in the template (b) bugs in the LV2 support stack used for 3.5.X. I suggest you try a nightly build to check how it behaves there. Or wait a day or two for Ardour 4.0.
