Can we expect same features on Ardour5/6 ?

Pity, it’s a real killer feature on Samplitude.

That depends a lot on workflow. For the sorts of music production that most interests me personally, it really isn’t very interesting. But I do understand the contexts in which it is more useful. To be honest, most of the issues are in designing and implementing the GUI aspects of this - there are no real technical limitations inside our code that would make this difficult. We already have per-region gain, and adding per-region plugins is relatively easy. Adding a GUI to manage it all though … that’s hard.
