Peripherally Off Topic: Les Paul

Tuesday Jun 9 would have been Les Paul’s 100th birthday.
Without a little creative thinking on his part, multitrack recording would not have arrived when it did.
Over the years, analog tape led to bits on a hard drive; the end result today being that we can record whole albums on a computer we could pick up on Craigslist for under $100, running an operating system we can get for free, and using software we can obtain for “at least $1.”
Thank you Les.
And thank you, Ardour.

So true, +1

Here’s to the innovators who have removed “can’t” from their vocabulary…

I wrote a blog post about something very similar a few years ago: http://richwielgosz.com/2009/08/the-guy-who-invented-my-guitar.html
