Ardour up and running but…i’m not seeing anything but my desktop. JACK, X11 and Ardour are in the dock but i’ve got no “new session” or anything like that at all. Maybe i missed something somewhere? I’m using osx 10.4.9 w/ x11 1.1.3 and Ardour 2.0.2. i’m a total noob when it comes to linux things so go easy on me 
Think i got it - still get this error first thing
The domain/default pair of (.GlobalPreferences, AppleCollationOrder) does not exist
Took a few tries too. At first it was more of the same (running but no file options to choose from) but it’s looking good now and i can start working on some tunes.

Have you installed X11 from the OS X install CD and NOT Apple’s website?
Installed the one from the cd. Should i be using the download?
No that’s the right one
Perhaps try opening from the terminal (right click ardour, show package contents, open /Content/MacOS, drag the exectuable there into a Terminal.app window, press Enter)
if there is an error message you can then see it
